It's a 10-min walk from the top of Taiwu Mountain where there are toilets, refreshments and a temple.

There are hiking trails nearby.

On your hike up Taiwu Mountain, you'll come across this enormous and historically significant rock.

About 30 minutes into your hike up Kinmen's highest mountain, you'll see a war-time message so important it was carved into a stone on a cliff in 1952.  Wu-Wang-Zai-Ju translates as "Never Forget National Humiliation", and served to boost the morale of Kinmenese and soldiers.

The iconic rock is a must-see for many Taiwanese tourists. It's on the Yuzheng Rd trail, a 10-min walk from the top of Taiwu mountain.

Besides walking along Yuzhang Rd, there are 2 other ways to climb the 253-meter mountain: along Caicuo Ancient Trail, and the more physically demanding Duomen Ancient Trail which has climbing ropes.

    The Wu-Wang-Zai-Ju Inscribed Rock

    4 2018-10

This is the well-known Wu-Wang-Zai-Ju Inscribed Rock located on the top of Tai Wu mountain. It is a famous story that Qi was beaten by Yan and only two towns left (one of them is Ju town) probably two thousand years ago (aka Warring States period) in ancient China. So it means that “do not forget the national humiliation but to recover the lost territory”. Chung of KMT was beaten by Mo of PRC and withdraw to Taiwan including some islands such as Kinmen. Thus he used this to remind his soldiers and urge them to fight back to recover the Mainland China. It’s a nice walk and quite pretty on the way to the Rock. Of course, it’s the symbol of Kinmen and a must visit spot as well.
